The Value of Sacred Space

Creating Sacred Space is foundational to ARJUNA.AG’s mission and approach. The word ‘sacred’ means set apart, as in a sacred temple. Within our hyper-connected age, we believe that creating this space is critical for protecting planetary health.

For human beings, sacred space is space, or time, set apart from everyday noise and inputs of city life and allow for focus, reflection, healing and rest.  These spaces are highly personal and individual, but can include parks, yoga studios, libraries, breakfast nooks, bedrooms, even a certain walk to work. Physically, these spaces allow our body to take a break from our day-to-day “fight or flight” mode, and redirect energy away towards deeper processes of healing and restoration. Mentally, these spaces can provide the stillness to tap into our intuition and creative potential.

Ecologically, sacred space means protecting the integrity of ecosystems and habitats. We aim to do this by sourcing organic, recycled materials that use natural or non-toxic dyes, and producing our products locally, thus reducing our carbon footprint, pollution and harm to natural habitats and ecosystems.

Our key products for creating sacred space are the Monkey Mind Band for sleep and meditation; the Hand Guards and Computer Cuffs for focused work; and the Privacy Pouch for setting away your phone and removing distraction. Our loungewear products are also intended to support comfort and restoration during these times.
